Music
and Language
Is music a universal language? This may not be an easy question to answer. LMFL (‘Language and Music For Life’) have a simple answer -
let's learn both music and language! This summer will be the 9th LMFL’s musical summer that nearly a hundred children and youngsters
gather at Frensham Heights, near Guildford, to immerse themselves in the magical world of music, as well as study foreign languages.
Once again, China Interface have the pleasure to supply the Chinese translation for
LMFL’s website.

Chinese Horoscopes
This Chinese New Year starts from 29th January, the first day of the year of the Dog. The dog is one of the 12-year cycle of animals in the Chinese
zodiac, which has much to do with Chinese Horoscopes.
Since last year, China Interface have been translating Weekly Chinese Horoscopes for one of our clients, JPP Solutions.

Birmingham
Evening Mail Campaign
Last week, we
carried out an unusual translation for the Birmingham Evening Mail,
who had started a campaign to pressurise Nanjing Automobile to
reveal its plan for Longbridge factory "... Mail took the unprecedented step of printing its front page headline in Mandarin in a bid to flush out detailed replies to key questions over its takeover". The translation for the headline and the key questions
were provided by China Interface.

Decisive
Move
Amid the news and speculations about
the deal between MG Rover, based in Birmingham, and China's biggest automaker Shanghai
Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC), China
Interface, by pure coincident, have just moved to Birmingham. From our Birmingham base,
we continue to strengthen our existing Chinese translation
operation. Meanwhile, we are carefully planning to use this
successful operation model to provide translation service in other
languages. (Dec 2004)

First Language
We have just completed the translation for another issue of Hazardous Cargo Bulletin (HCB) Asia Supplement -
we cannot help to be amazed by the speed and scale of the new developments in China, taking Chemical Logistic as an example, in the words of Ted Bridge at HCB, “...
At the rate these markets are expanding, by the time HCB is producing its 20th Asia supplement, Mandarin may be our industry’s first language, and we may be debating whether or not to include the English text at all."

Ahead of the Game
While it seems only yesterday when
citizens of Beijing rushed into the streets to celebrate,
preparation for the 2008 Olympics is now already in full swing.
Beijing Government pledged to make the event a world showpiece.
Commercially, this presents great opportunities for many companies
both in China and in the rest of the world. Some British companies
have already been “ahead of the Game” - recently, China
Interface carried out translations for two British companies for
their projects relating to the 2008 Olympics, one is in Security and
Antiterrorism training and the other involves in the design of the
new Beijing National Stadium. (Jan 2004)
